I love this reboot for all sorts of reasons. In a rare about-face, the anime studio Bones literally put their best foot forward to create a much more accurate adaptation of their hit franchise. It was such a phenomenal success that every other anime studio started to reboot their freaking show to try to achieve the same results. However, the only show that really deserved the effort was Fullmetal Alchemist. I mean, come on--Ed Elric has the best damned cosplay outfit ever.
