Main Source's debut--still the most underrated hip-hop album of all time. It features rap frontman /future rap DJ producer mastermind Large Professor at his prime, and two top-notch DJs from Toronto. The group had a falling out because of logistics (they lived in two different countries), but both groups made a huge impact on the development of rap in Canada and New York. The collective's sound was instrumental in developing the hard-hitting bass sound in rap music, complete with killer scratches and tons of samples.

The most famous track is "Live at the Barbecue," their all-star collaboration with "Nasty" Nas, the guru who transformed hip-hop with one album--Illmatic. The remaster also includes their iconic hit single "Fakin' the Funk" in the movie White Men Can't Jump. The whole album was literally ahead of its time.
