"Play" wasn't just a worldwide phenomenon in electronica music--it was one of the most accessible albums in the genre. Moby's music style was an uneasy crossover between ambient electronica, punk rock and club music, but in "Play" everything just clicked. He's found a clever way to bring all that music in some sort of serene tranquility, adding gospel samples and vague lyrics about how there's too much violence in the world or something. Thanks to "Play," everyone started turning into vegans and started practicing yoga while jamming on their electric guitars.

(I have no idea where I was going with this. Oh well.)
