Everyone's used up all their healing magic on the thief

Editing … Is it more useful than a warrior? Cuz the warrior's a tank. A 2x warrior 2x red mage ensemble would be a party of beasts.

Editing … I'm going more by what I've heard, but yeah, the thief/ninja or the monk is better than the warrior at the end, but you gotta get through the early stuff first. So it depends on whether you want dependability or an ultimate endgame team.

Editing … The benefit of the thief though is that since he's always sending me back and forth between dungeons and inns, I'm forced to grind, and everyone else is overleveled for everything they encounter (whereas the thief, at the same level as everyone else, is still underleveled)

Editing … I can accept this. Warrior/Knight was the most hardcore beast at the end though, especially with the Red Wizard giving him Haste (double attack frequency) during every boss fight. I bet a Warrior/Red team would be OP. But maybe an RNG factor in the stats leads to the differing accounts of which classes are best. That, and the various versions of the games making their own adjustments.

Editing … husk - I think it is lying, there's no question about it. He waited a week to backpedal on what he said and it was only after you contradicted him. You bring up game version differences, but he made no mention of that either. It's sad and elitist, like if a new Smash game came out and I couldn't afford it, so I look up tier lists online and hang out at a game store kiosk so I can criticize people for picking the wrong characters.

Editing … "information" that's bias in word choice. Making it sound like sha is the good guy sharing valuable wisdom, I'm the meanie that wants to keep everyone in the dark. Information is nice and all but what about culture. What's wrong with someone picking a certain job class and having their own personal experience with a game without having to ask the fucking internet for approval for *every single thing*.

Editing … the vastly more valuable information to have isn't what job classes are best from a competitive standpoint but what happens if players go in blind and choose the jobs themselves, without outside input. We can literally put game design to practice and learn about the medium firsthand. Or would you rather just settle for becoming a tryhard that's way too proud of himself for looking up an faq simply to beat the game as easily as possible, as if that's what's really important.

Editing … AND SOME WOULD ARGUE THIS TO BE A SUBJECTIVE POINT ANYWAY except I'd disagree cuz tbh thief/ninja are basically just uber-nerfed warriors/knights, with less health, less defense, and much less hitting power. At least in Origins. Dawn of Souls added stuff like elixirs, right? That's a big change. Must be lots of other changes too. Idk what they'd be. But changes.
