I can't really say much about it that doesn't mirror my opinion on the first game, but DR1 and 2 are equally good, which one you prefer is 100% down to personal preference, mainly which cast of characters you prefer. I personally prefer 2's so this one ends up my favourite game of the two. I think it's fair to say this one becomes just a little bit gritter in atmosphere than the first game, but not in a way that bogs it down.
