New Street Fighter 5 character. Well, his name is G, but he's a total throwback to Q from Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. This time, his G-charge (in the pose of Q's taunt) builds his social media presidential power, whatever that means.

Just face it--it's another version of Q. He just changed his image, because it ain't cool to look like a robot flasher.

Editing … what? his name reminded me of Q, but when I saw the trailer I didn't recognize his fighting style at all. I thought he was doing his own thang. honestly I'm a bit disappointed, I think I'd rather have Q. And the social media idea sounds kinda I dunno dumb.

Editing … I once had an idea for a fighting game character, he's a boxer who wears an antenna or satellite dish on his head that transmits his fan's thoughts and social media posts into his brain, motivating him during a fight.

Editing … Yeah...I mean, I do recognize the rush charge move and the G-charge pose after special moves. However, one of his costume looks very similar to Q's. So...he's very...suspicious. Then again, I guess the dude does his own thing.

Editing … I like the idea of a character just building up power, like that oil guy. Having it be about popularity is kind of silly.

Editing … Should've just called him Abe Lincoln. Lol. I think the devs were watching too many episodes of Epic Rap Battles of History. https://youtu.be/dX_1B0w7Hzc?t=2m19s

Editing … It does look very similar to Phoenix Wright's fighting style, though. Searching for evidence to raise power. I think Capcom really wanted to bring back that game mechanic to a more mainstream game, especially after they gave up on Marvel Vs. Capcom.

Editing … In that case though, I'd rather have Phoenix Wright, rather than...a Q/Phoenix Wright hybrid.

Editing … I also noticed that he loses presidential power after each hit, but then that power moves to his EX and V trigger bar. So there's also a balancing mechanic between presidential power and his super move/V trigger. I guess the devs didn't like the idea of a permanently high defense buff.
