Best movie I've seen in ten years.

  Editing … Usually for big budget films it sacrifices a decent script like the Transformers movies. Also taking in consideration the 'Monster' genres these types of movies usually suffer from terrible dialogue and over-saturated action scenes. I think Del Toro did a masterful job having the battles elegantly played out, and compressing the story without sacrificing character development into an enjoyable 2013 'Monster' flick. But I might regress my statement, it's definably one of my best films I've seen in the last ten years :)
