Rage 2 will not be powered by #id Tech--it will instead use the lead developer's #Avalanche Engine, as seen in Just Cause and Mad Max.
Mad Max has some really killer visuals, and that engine had some extreme optimization for PC. I think I heard there were some drops on consoles, though. Hopefully that would be fixed. But man, this could really result in Rage 2 possibly being the best-looking game of 2018. It's a really beautiful engine. Hopefully it will only be turned up for this game.
