People love to make fun of this album, because it has all of U2's "gee whiz" songs. Remember how REM had that "Everybody Hurts" single with all the corny lyrics? Well this album repeats that message a million times over. It's a far cry from their previous album Pop, which had some really cool experiments with Chemical Brothers'-style electronics. No, this is not U2's best album. However, I still love listening to "Beautiful Day" for whatever reason. And the music video for that song is badass. Next time I'm on an airport runway, I'll do the ridiculous Bono pose. And I'll...try not to get run over by an airplane.
