Even though it's not explicitly stated that this is a movie about marriage, believe me--this is a movie about marriage. Hell, the director himself said that he wrote this script while he was meeting with his wife's family before his wedding. This teenage romance movie just happens to have a hacker nerd, an entire family of odd relatives and an uncle who has a psychotic dream to rule the world or something. And the only way to save the world is...by playing online card games or something. Summer Wars isn't the most intellectual movie, but it's a great comedy to watch with a bunch of friends who love anime tropes.
