Some cops are nice.
I may have been the lead suspect for a small crime that I didn't commit (though coincidentally had just committed something very similar, legal, but which, gee, could've looked bad if they knew), but the cops, suspicious of me as they seemed, also seemed to be thinking "oh, he's a kid, I'm sure that after this he won't do it again." They asked if I went to high school around there.
But the crime was on another side of a li'l river and my feet were dry, and they found a pretty handy tool at the scene of the crime that probably has the real perp's prints, so like, maybe they'll check and be like "huh, okay. Guess that twink really was just coincidentally suspiciously in the vicinity."
