No one had heard of contemporary country (neo-country) music until Wilco released "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot." It was a trippy hybrid that crossed the new electronic rock sounds of Radiohead with acoustic guitars and honky-tonk piano. There's even some DJ scratching records during "Heavy Metal Drummer." It was one of those legendary classics that could never be replicated.
