Last week I noticed that my Street Pass wasn't working anymore, so I had to reformat the system memory. Despite all of my games being saved to the SD card and having been removed during the formatting, I had to redownload ALL of my games again. I lost ALL of my saves. I lost a Mew that Gamestop had given me for Pokemon X. I lost progress in Smash Bros, Pushmo, Resident Evil Revelations, Pokemon Blue, Metroid 2, Super Mario World, Super Mario 3, and all my progress in Find Mii/2, and all my puzzles.
Harsh truth to all of this: buy your games physically.
