Editing … Is that also why he told me he'd be rolling out the badges system "in the next month at the latest" a mere.... four months ago?

Editing … I don't get why people want a Movie Sequels list. The entrants would have nothing in common in terms of genre or time period and movie sequels are already well-represented in the favorite movies list. It also might cause some database issues; it's not like we currently tag movies specifically as sequels. Maybe there would be a way to only allow movies that are part of a franchise but then also disallow the earliest movie in a franchise, but why you would want that eludes me. I note nobody seems to want a Favorite Gaming Sequels list. That's probably because of the extensively franchised nature of much of gaming but to me that just makes such a list "immediately obviously pointless" rather than the Movie Sequels list being "pointless, but to figure that out you might have to think about a little."

Editing … Papi can simply create a "sequel" tag. It's not like new tags haven't been introduced before.

Editing … Sequels face challenges when it comes to crafting compelling stories that other stories don't. They have to avoid rehashing, they generally need to escalate or shift the stakes, they have to further character arcs, they have to pay heed to continuity etc. These are reasons why sequels overwhelmingly sucked up until recently. I don't see how comparing movies by such criteria is any less valid than "came out between Jan 1 and Dec 31 of some such year" or "has funny parts."
