After taking a quick look at the reviews it would seem that reviewers are complaining about clunkiness of gameplay and the occasional dip in FPS + relatively dated graphics.

Sounds a lot like Shadow of the Colossus.

Editing … Yea, I've heard Trico isn't as responsive as he could be, but that's been obvious from the gameplay demos shown thus far.

Editing … SotC's graphics were anything but dated. It's one of the sharpest looking games on the PS2.

Editing … Sandy yeah, the dated graphics part doesn't sound like SotC, but the dips in FPS and clunkiness of gameplay sure do bring me back.

Editing … SotC was the best slide show evah! I thought the controls worked fine for what they were going for. My biggest frustrations came from impatiently trying to get a colossus to expose his weakpoints and the AI being uncooperative. "Okay, now climb up the wall so I can shoot your.... NO! Why are you climbing there?! You're supposed to climb over where I am! Grrr, fine, I'll come to you! Oh, no, wait! You didn't give me enough time! Okay, let's try this again. Climb up and.... OH FUCK YOU!!!" Though such experiences were the exception to the rule. Once you know what to do I found things generally worked as they should, but the very occasional AI derp is a pain just the same, a fairly consistent trend for the trilogy it would seem.
