I wanted to like Terraria, but the graphics and music weren't my thing, and I was using a controller so the aiming sucked. This is more my thing, it's giving me a good first impression. It's got a real sense of exploration and adventure, like how I felt when I first started Fallout 3. I was attacking a big enemy with ranged weapons, but I accidentally blew up the ground beneath me and fell to his level and he killed me and I dropped my stuff. But I used mud to make a little stair I could use to safely defeat him and get my stuff back. It was cool. Thing is though, there's no way to pause? I can understand that for inventory stuff, do the Dark Souls thing and all that. But the Esc menu should pause everything.
