Just wrote a huge ass post/pokemon gold RP in the forum, then went to delete a word. Somehow I had clicked outside of the text field or something and so my laptop saw the 'backspace' prompt as a sign to return to the previous web page, thus deleting said post :( Imma cry now.

Editing … I was finished as well! :( Boo hoo. Reminds me of the time I wrote that "Favsland" poem and the same thing happened to my entire first draft. Like an hour's worth of work, lost.

Editing … I've found with writing a long post that it's a good idea to copy before you post it. On other forums I've had it where the computer decided sometime during the writing of it that I was no longer logged in.

Editing … I usually do that actually, but I was getting into "the zone" so to speak and forgot :( *weep* I thought I made a 55 second long Pokemon battle sound quite exciting as well.

Editing … Hell, if I can set myself the task of rewriting 4 years worth of Final Fantasy fan fiction, then I'm sure I can rewrite a simple Pokemon role-play :P

Editing … This is an infuriating problem that ought to be addressed somehow by the os or browser. OS: Built in personal keylogger. Save all keyboard inputs automatically and temporarily. Browser: All text fields are automatically saved to a word processor or cloud service, and automatically saved every few seconds. (this is how OneNote works, there is no save button, it saves automatically when you exit, or after a few seconds) You should also be able to delete what's saved, it would be literally no different from browser history.

Editing … "copy before you post it" Not possible to do on Favslist. The page will not scroll up if you try to copy a long post.

Editing … Huh. Well, in that case, you'd have to write the post in Notepad or something and copy it over.

Editing … I'm sure you can scroll up by clicking and dragging while text is selected. At least that's how I do it on mobile, I don't see why the same wouldn't work with a mouse. It's a godsend when editing long posts like that thread I recently created, since its the only way to scroll to the part of the post I want to edit.
