Funny how people tend to hate on this show for being an attack on titan ripoff despite being better than what its "ripping off". It's not the most well-written show out there, but it gets the job done a hell of a lot better than AOT while having a much better cast of characters. The main character of the show, Ikoma, is actually somewhat likeable and has a reasonable personality, unlike Erin in AOT. I've also seen people talk about how bad the villain is, but I didn't see a problem. He's a villain with flawed views of the world, which makes him a really interesting plot point for the 2nd half of the show. Despite some shortcomings in the story department the show makes it clear that the villain is an asshole, and needs to be killed. The second half does literally become "kill the villain" but it does so extremely well, with Ikoma's despair event horizon being really grim and setting the stage for the finale well. Kabaneri is a great anime to watch if you want some good action.
