So I was thinking about this and that it makes more sense to to rank videogame vehicles always because you can actually drive those. That gives them a huge leg up over vehicles from movies and TV. Because if you can't drive it then what is the point. The reason for each item on the list being there ends up being "it looks cool."

But from there I noticed another problem which is that it is often the case that every vehicle in a videogame is the same as any other car from that game. Mario Kart, Ridge Racer, and Sonic Racing Transformed serve as perfect examples of this. Hell, by unlocking mods in Transformed you can make one character's vehicle perform more like a different character's and vice versa. And in Ridge Racer for Vita, each car is essentially just a skin and it's a tire grip slider you can adjust that actually affects performance, which in primciple was what every car in the franchise was all along. They're all the same vehicle using the same drift physics, albeig locked to a particular point on the slider.

So in many such cases one might as well rate the entire game as the vehicle or simply pick the most iconic example to headline it. (E.g. ranking all Sonic Racing Transformed vehicles as a single choice but simply having it show Sonic's car)

Going down this rabbit hole raises uncomfortable questions. 1) are not *all* video games debatably this? 2) If a game can be said to be guilty of this, and it certainly can, then why not include licensed vehicles provided they appear in such a game? Hell, taking it further, 3) why not allow licensed vehicles altogether so long as it's obviously that they don't drive like that in real life. (i.e. arcade racers) and lastly, 4) I forgot what I was going to write here. I though I had a 4th lined up but immediately forgot as soon as I began typing it.

Oh, I think I was simply going to ask if mecha count as land vehicles. If they can fly then it obvioisly no longer counts as land vehicles, but there are many cases such as Armored Core where they cannot perpetually fly, but have a lot of airborne maneeuverability in the form of jumping and midair propulsion. These kind of blur the line.

Definitely allowed - "walkers", RTS mecha ground units. Front Mission, Ring of Red, Metal Gear, etc
Definitely not allowed - many Gundam series and anime mech series, as they're essentially full on planes with human limbs
Ambiguous - Armored Core series, Gundam mecha with no flight capabilities and in particular any Gundam that coexists in the same timeline as Gundam that *can* fly. (Even more so if the non flying Gundam itself acquires flight at some point) Ah yai yai...

Editing … Thank you for trusting us with your feelings on this matter. Another ambiguous vehicle to me is Jabba's sail barge from Return of the Jedi. While it, like a landspeeder, has a limited elevation that keeps it from acting as a skycraft, it does sail rather high, so I'm not sure it would count as a land vehicle. Sometimes I'm hesitant to draft lists where I know the line is highly ambiguous, but then I figure it's still more fun for people to have some sort of list, even if everyone is operating with different definitions of what qualifies.

Rentaro and The 100 Girlfriends Anime Officially Certified by Guinness World Records for Longest Monologue in Japanese Animation
    https://animecorner.me/rentaro-and-the-100-girlfriends-anime-officially-certified-by-guinness-world-records-for-longest-monologue-in-japanese-animation/

"In Episode 24, the final episode of Season 2, protagonist Rentaro Aijo delivered a speech which totaled 7,453 Japanese characters, in which he described what he loves about each of his 100 girlfriends."

You'd think that there are less than 100 unique female characters across all anime ever made. But here you have a single anime that allegedly pulled it off all by itself. Somehow I am skeptical.

I was thinking of watching this. Although I don't really want to watch it. So I decided to watch the trailer to hopefully convince myself against seeing it.

It's the fucking dog collar movie. THE DOG COLLAR MOVIE

The commercial for this movie was playing all the time when it came out. Like a million times a day. Or maybe it just felt like that, on account of it being the most quintessentially "TV ad for a comedy movie" TV ad for a comedy to ever exist.

Meet Dick. Dick works as a company man and everything was fine. But then everything was not fine. *cut to Jim Carrey in an office wearing a disheveled suit and a wastebin is on fire* "EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE!!!!" (Cut to dog getting zapped.) (Audience laughs hysterically. "dumbass dog got shocked, hurrrrrr")

Now, in order to fill the runtime of this movie, Dick must do things he doesn't normally do, and is therefore inept at performing said tasks! Wife: "Dick what are you doing?!?!" Dick: "Sorry honey. I am so inept at this!!!" (Cut to a different clip of dog getting shocked)

See the movie critics are calling "yeah Jim Carrey is in this one." The Huffington Posts raves "I got a few good chuckles I guess" Fun with Dick and Jane in theaters now go see it please. *clip of Jim Carrey zapping himself with shock collar* ("lmao, now the dumbass dog is him!!! This is so peak.") =P

Editing … I don't even know where to start, lol. I noticed my laptop runs hot? When I bend over to use it it cooks my face. Last time I used it I sweat like crazy. Getting one during the summer was a bad choice. Though, it occurred to me it's going to be miserable year round, just less bad during winter. I should probably abandon the reasons I have for wanting a laptop. Which means using Switch exclusively as my only handheld (since PSP and Retroid require manually xferring games) and giving up on competitive 1v1 Magic entirely. (Which is reasonable bc my lgs doesn't even do 1v1 but I am obsesssed with Magic to my own detriment, and wanted so badly to own a 1v1 deck irl despite having absolutely no reason to. So it's actually maybe a good thing that I give up on that idea.)

I got an oreo mcflurry. Turns out it's just soft serve ice cream with crushed oreos on top.

    and I LOVED IT!!!

But there was no lid or anything. It just comes in a paper cup with folding tabs on top that don't actually fold close all the way (not that they come equipped with a way to stay closed even if they did close all the way) and leave giant gaps. They practically gave me an open cup of ice cream loose inside a takeout bag. I am at a loss as to what exactly the tabs are meant to accomplish. At best I can see it deflecting a ping pong ball or stray chicken mcnugget. xD

    Great show. Would flurry again.

I almost forgot about Taco Bell. Checking now. Their crispy chicken contains jalapeno, so that's out. Their regular chicken and "cantina chicken" are both fine though. (Apparently their crispy chicken is a new addition? How about that.)

Editing … I really thought there should be a Wipeout movie. The franchise hasn't been relevant since ever, but a movie loosely based on Pulse and 2048 could have so much aura. I tried to think what the plot would be, it ended up being remarkably similar to Speed Racer 2008 (big business rigging races) but it fits the dystopian vision of the series perfectly.

I have a computer question for Husky. And nod too I guess.
On this laptop I never signed in bc it was all ready to use out of the box, rather than starting from a clean boot. According to the lock screen I am signed as "Dell" and there is no PIN, I can just click and begin using it. So I just use it like that.

My question is, should I sign in regardless? I was not planning to bc I can still do everything so who cares. In fact I actually like not being signed in. It feels like how Windows XP/7 did it. But I'll sign in if there is a serious downside or risk in not doing so that I am failing to conceive of. Lmk what you guys would do.
