Long story short, Insomniac have done for Spider-Man what the Arkham games did for Batman.

The story distills 60 years of comics and created something way better than any of the films managed. They nailed the webslinging and made the world worth exploring. The combat/stealth borrows from other games but mixes in the webs/wallcrawling/agility to make it feel unique.

It's not perfect, there aren't any cameos from other Marvel heroes, the soundtrack's good but it's way too repetitive for a 20 hour game and the side missions can give you deja vu too. All the same it's definitely my favourite game this year.

Editing … How does it stack up to the other great Spider-Man games? Spider-Man (2000) and Spider-Man 2 are both still pretty great.

Editing … Those games were fun for their time. The PS1 games has great alternate costume easter eggs and Spider-Man 2 which gave us open world web swinging. This blows them out of the water though.

9 out of 10 of these are cool choices, can't say I agree with your British pick though.

Editing … Yeah, a lot of people seem to see Corbyn as the British Bernie Sanders because they're both grandfatherly radically left wing/anti-establishment types but it's not that simple. Corbyn's history with the IRA/Russia/Iran/Hamas/Hezbollah/anti-semitism are seriously messed up and the people he surrounds himself with are as bad or worse.

Editing … I left out a lot. The time he invited a Hamas fundraiser/convicted anti Semite to parliament/defended him from deportation. His view that the Russian invasion of Crimea was provoked. How his right hand man John McDonnell is on record praising the "bullets and bombs of the IRA" and posing with a manifesto that includes disbanding MI5/MI6. And how his Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott once argued Chairman Mao "on balance did more good than harm". And how his special advisor Andrew Murray is an ex-communist on record defending Stalin and declaring "solidarity with people's Korea". Then there's Corbyn's time as chair of the "Stop the War" group that condoned insurgents using whatever means necessary to attack British troops in Iraq in 2004 (at a time when Baathist/Al Qaeda weapons of choice were IEDs and suicide bombs), denied the Yazidi genocide in 2014 and explained the 2015 Paris attacks as "reaping the whirlwind of western actions". The list goes on.

This list needs to be updated I guess.

I haven't seen The Jungle Book since I was a kid, but it was never one of my favorites. I should rewatch it when I get the chance. I rewatched Tarzan last year and I enjoyed it far more than I remembered.

Gwen Stacy? Nope. Mary Jane? Nope. Harry Osborn? Nope. Uncle Ben? Nope. Aunt May? Barely.
Rookie high school Spider-Man who couldn't make his own suit? Check.
Tony Stark as a mentor? Check
Joins the Avengers for pretty much his first adventure? Check
Overweight nerdy Asian best friend/confidante who spends his free time making Lego models? Check

It's a well made film but it's weird how this version of Peter Parker feels closer to the Miles Morales comics.

Dragon Age, Red Dead and Bloodborne huh? Looks like we have similar taste along with the similar birthday. I really recommend Witcher 3 if you haven't played it yet, it's like the best aspects of those three brought together in one game.

Editing … The lore and cast of characters is huge but the game has a glossary to help you keep up so you could just start with Witcher 3 if you just want to play the best game. I recommend Witcher 2 as well though
