Johnny Cage may punch people in the crotch as an attack, but the guy is just so likable. His smug sense of himself is very clear. He has an endless supply of sunglasses, his name is tattooed onto his chest, and he can do sliding step kicks. What isn't there to like about this guy?

One of the cheapest bosses in video game history, and yet one of the most threatening ones as well. Shao Kahn is the epic bad-ass villain you'd expect for a series like this.

I quote ScrewAttack on this guy: "Goro will beat your ass...by flexing!" That is all

Every time I look at Liu Kang, I immediately think of Bruce Lee, which makes sense since the two are so similar. Both use powerful kicks, both come from China, and both could kick your ass if you were to try and fight them. The difference is: Bruce Lee never saved the world, but Liu Kang did. Throw in his bicycle kick and weird babbling he does when he attacks, and you've got a recipe for awesome.

So, uh, spoiler alert. You know Sub-Zero from the first Mortal Kombat? The one who could rip people's spines off with their heads? Yeah, he died. And then he was turned into this guy. Noob Saibot is likable for the fact that he has a unique fighting style: he has his clone fight people. Throw in that he can create portals, and his name is the last names of the creators spelled backwards, and you have quite a bad-ass character

The female characters in Mortal Kombat have always been just...okay to me. Nothing against female characters, but Mortal Kombat's weren't very interesting. Jade is not one of those characters. She's a really cool character, especially in gameplay. The fact that she can do so many cool things like throw boomerangs, beat people with an extending pole, and turn invincible for a short while makes Jade one of the more likable MK Females. Plus, she wears my favorite color: green.

I'm usually not a big fan of ice, but I can put aside my hatred for the cold in order to like Sub-Zero. Besides the fact that he is a master of using the ice element, and he wears blue, Sub-Zero is awesome for just how honorable he is. He's much better than his brother, Noob Saibot
