    Goodnight, sweet prince.

"Xbox 360 means a lot to everyone in Microsoft. And while we’ve had an amazing run, the realities of manufacturing a product over a decade old are starting to creep up on us. Which is why we have made the decision to stop manufacturing new Xbox 360 consoles. We will continue to sell existing inventory of Xbox 360 consoles, with availability varying by country."

The Xbox 360 is a really good multiplayer platform. The multiplayer games on this system easily beat the other platforms at the time as Halo 3 is still played a lot to this day even though a improved version is available on the xbox one. I prefer it to ps3 despite owning both due to the simple nature of how multiplayer with friends is generally more entertaining compared to how ps3's exclusives are generally single player experiences. My only problem with the system is the paid online which I hope will someday get abolished as I think gaming could do without online subscription just to play multiplayer which is free on pc and some other platforms.

I finally figured put how to connect headphones to a Xbox 360, yay! The only downside to this is that the picture quality gets decreased slightly, but what do I care. After all, I'm just a filthy console peasant.

Also, who do I have to harass on Twitter to get skate 4 on current gen consoles? Honest question.

So, besides the Halos, Gears of War, racing games, Rare games and JRPGs with cliché plots, which games are worth buying on the X360 that are not available on the PS3 or PC? Need to buy moar games.

The 360 may be my favorite console and all, but there are two things about it I find infuriating:
    1) it doesn't have an internal power supply &
    2) to my knowledge there's no way to connect wired headphones to the console or controller itself

Editing … My gripes with the 360 are that the console's menus are full of adverts, the d-pad on the controller's rubbish and that after a really good start (Gears 1, Halo 3, Mass Effect 1) that got people to buy the console it was really weak on exclusives for the second half of the 7th gen.

Editing … The problem is the lack of good exclusives. Since I can play every major game on PS3 or PC paying less, my X360 serves only to collect dust.

Exactly a decade ago the Xbox 360 was first revealed to the public in a MTV Special on May 12, 2005.

Games from the reveal I've completed and adore to this day:
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (100%ed it several times on PS2 and 360)
    Kameo
    Project Gotham Racing 3
    Saint's Row
    Need for Speed Most Wanted
    NHL 2k6
    (haven't completed Gears 1 yet)

Editing … If that's the standard I'm knocking on a bit as well apparently. I've played PGR3 and Gears 1 to death along with Oblivion, those were my favourite early 360 games and then the system really got going in 2007. American Wasteland (the last good TH game) was good fun too but I had that on PS2.

It's been about a week since I got the 360 and I gotta admit I was wrong in pooping on it so much. They improved it a lot since the old white bulk-ass-thing I had. The dashboard is faster than ps3's, all games so far I've been able to install to the harddrive, the system is quiet as balls too.
