Editing … Nice. My city just got opened up to other internet companies so everybody is bailing the one internet provider we had to use for others. I think I can half my bill when my 2 year contract is up.

So apparently my ISP is blocking websites now? I can't access a certain website, but it's not down. If I change my location to Amsterdam via a proxy, then it works immediately with no issues.

Man, I can't wait to switch to the new Internet provider. Only two more months until the fiber optics is here, I hope...

Editing … But dude, I use a VPN and I got very little to hide, I watch straight up big tits porn and I'm done in 43 seconds max. I mostly do it to watch Netflix in Australia because the mrs likes some prison soap opera they do there. I feel safer from the hackers though, but to be honest I'm unsure if that's a real thing that it's safer..... I should check on that.

They put the empty conduit for the upcoming fiber optics cable into the house today. I'll finally have fast Internet in October (if everything goes according to plan)!!

I'm currently surfing the Internet with 50mbit down / 4mbit up and I'm paying a fortune for an unstable connection (€80 a month). I'll switch to the new provider who lays the fiber optics cables and I'll (hopefully) get 300mbit down / 150mbit up speed for €40 a month (yes, that's half the price for multiple times the speed - that's how shitty and scummy my current ISP is). I also have the option to go for 1000mbit down / 500mbit up max.

I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS!!

This morning after the shower, that one early song from the #Ghouls 'n Ghosts game was randomly stuck in my head … so I've put on its OST to play in the background while I was at work.

    Boy, I love the internet!

Editing … Yea, it's wild how some times we take it for granted. This week I read a short story in a book I had purchased off eBay while I was at work. I enjoyed the story so I looked up the author on my phone. Within like 30 minutes of reading that story, I had read the authors bio, checked out his bibliography, and then I was listening to a recording of an old obscure vinyl album where Vincent Price was reading a few of the authors short stories over my Bluetooth earbuds. If that sequence of events took place in 1990 or even the early 2000s it would've taken weeks of research and planning.

Today I found out that my web hosting provider charged me for the year 2032. Not only that, they charged me multiple times in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. Five times in 2021 alone.

Yes. I have sent them a friendly e-mail, let's see what their response is...

Editing … Yes, they did that in 2019. The invoice for the year 2032 isn't paid yet; that will probably be deducted from my bank account in a few days. Unless they react to my e-mail and stop taking money from my bank account. I've already got an automated response saying that they've received my e-mail, but whether something happens remains to be seen...

Editing … After months of silence, I finally got a reply, saying that I'll get my money back. For the €287.04 that I paid too much they apparently want to refund €394.68 for some reason. o.o It's gonna take up to two weeks though...

...Whoever created online grading systems is a jerk. I just thought I'd say that while I'm griping about that one reading assignment that I missed. It won't make a huge dent on my reading assignment grade, but f***ing shite, the Zybooks grading system won't even accept it if I read it late.

Some kind feedback would be nice. Or maybe a bigger reminder? Anyways, I hate online classes.

Editing … I cannot count the number of times The Guardian wrote fictional interviews with and about Julian Assange. The sheer brashness of those lies is utterly insane. Recently they wrote off one such false article as a "joke." Dunno if they think they're The Onion now or what. Here, I'll replace it with an archive.
