    WHAT THE F*** NINTENDO?!
    http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2015/01/03/no-new-mario-game-in-2015/127238/

    I'm raging so hard like now. Nintendo just don't give a shit about Mario anymore. I'm so disappointed! Well, looks like "Mario Maker" will be the only game that I buy in 2015.
    Where is Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Baseball, Mario Soccer, Paper Mario, Mario Party (with TRADITIONAL gameplay, not the piece of s*** gameplay as in MP9) and other Mario titles? The Wii U hardly has any Mario games and I'm f***ing mad about that. The Wii U is the worst console right now and Nintendo gave up on it.

      Editing … I would be disapointed, but there's like... 100000000000000 Mario games already, I really don't mind they take a one year break from the most used character in Videogaming. Maybe take the time to actually create a new IP? Or go back to an older one. Mario isn't the only thing Nintendo has to offer. Heck, I bought a Wii and I want a 3DS and the only Mario game I may think of buying is the Mario & Luigi ones, although I bought Super Paper Mario too. To be honest Mario Tennis, Mario Golf and such don't make me want to buy a Wii U. And it's not because I don't like the games, but it's because I have enough fun already with the N64 version of the games, really.

      Editing … Yeah, give the series a break. Would half of those games even sell a copy if they didn't have "Mario" in the title? I'm not convinced, there are tons of better games and Nintendo just churn out crap relying on their fanbase to keep on buying. They should try something new, I'd be much more open to trying their products that way.

      Editing … If there's no Mario game in 2015, then they're probably putting more effort into a more innovative Mario title.

    Has anyone else noticed how Nintendo has been “remaking” the whole Super Mario series since 2006?

    Super Mario Bros 1-3 (1985-1988) -> New SMB 1-4 (2006-2012)
    Super Mario Land 1-3 (1989-1994) -> Super Mario 3D Land (2011)
    Super Mario World 1-2 (1990-1995) -> Super Mario 3D World (2013)
    Super Mario 64 (1996) -> Super Mario Galaxy 1-2 (2007-2010)
    Super Mario Sunshine (2002) -> ???

      Editing … No, you're just drawing very loosely and arbitrarily defined and correlations based on the names of those series of titles.

      Editing … Super Mario 3D Land has very few resemblances with the Super Mario Land games and the same goes with 3D World. And I wouldn't call Galaxy a remake of 64 since they have different takes on the 3D Platformer genre.

      Editing … NSMB is obviously a throwback the NES games. But I don't see much similarity with Galaxy vs. 64, or 3D World vs. World. If anything, Sunshine had more in common with 64 than Galaxy, though it's obviously not a "remake" either, to anyone with even half a brain.

      Editing … Gries, I fully understood what you were saying. Looking at your list, it was immediately clear you weren't actually claiming that Nintendo makes the exact same games over and over again.

    It was pretty amazing to get this as a pack-in back then, and most of the changes to the originals are for the better.

    Quite possibly one of the greatest game collections ever! All the NES Mario classics have been renewed with colorful graphics and a stunning soundtrack! On top of that, you can save and quit your game anytime you want to. The controls are perfect (you can even customize buttons) and the instruction book is nicely written. With the "Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World" cartridge, you can even play Super Mario World! This game should be in everyone's collection.

    One of the first updated games collection is still one of the greatest. The games are the same but the prettier graphics give you another reason to play the games again. To be honest I prefer this version of SMB 3 in particular because a) the graphics look great, and b) allowing you to save gives you time to play and relish every level.

    4 great games on one cartridge, with improved graphics and sound, and a save system? What more could you ask for?
