Dammit, I regret listening to this again. It just makes me wish that Ludacris made another hit as good as this one. He made other good singles, but nothing, I mean, nothing, was as fun as "Southern Hospitality."

...Back in the days, this was one of the best damned dance songs of all time. It's hard to set up a soundsystem to truly capture the hardcore intensity of this track, but it really makes people want to get...sexy. I can't really explain why it's such an awesome song, but it has something to do with Ludacris blurting out the dirtiest qualities of the southern slums and making it all sound hot. I don't think any other rapper ever captured it in the same way during the 2000s.
