I'd like to have one MTG videogame that let's me build my own decks and let's me unlock every card ever made since '93 via in-game money/accomplishments. Does anything like this exist? And if not: why the hell not?

Editing … Sure, Wizards of the Coast's entire business strategy would crumble if such a game were ever released, but what do I care?

Editing … Oh snap! Leya, check this out: www.slightlymagic.net/wiki/Forge ... it has 14k cards, you can build your own decks, play against the computer, it even has a friggin story mode where you can unlock new cards and achievements and oh my god I need this in my life!!

Editing … Oh wow, what a lucky guy :) I'd actually like to hear a little about what deck [@9:Stephanie Taylor] is playing, what her favorite/most expensive/most powerful cards in her collection are etc ; I'm definitely going to download and try out Forge for PC, it looks fantastic. I think I'm gonna build myself a white/green deck. The weird thing though is, that I've never even owned any Magic cards and haven't played the game for ~10 years but I suddenly felt the urge to play again for some reason. Do you and [@1129:Sha Ember] play Magic on a regular basis?

Editing … Oh, you mean I've been invited to nerd out over my decks? I play a format called EDH/Commander almost exclusively, so it's probably different from what you're used to playing. EDH involves decks that are based around one legendary creature of your choice, in that creature's colors, exactly 100 cards and only one of each card aside from basic lands. It's often played multiplayer and is more of a casual, experimental format where people can win using creative strategies instead of trying to combo off in 4 turns or whatever (which is boring as fuck). I have 5 decks I play, currently: Mayael the Anima (RGW fatties); Gisela, Blade of Goldnight (RW Voltron AKA focusing on killing just with my general); Olivia Voldaren (RB vampire tribal); Marchesa the Black Rose (BRU artifact deck); and Doran, the Siege Tower (WGB creatures with big butts and graveyard recursion). It's a lot to talk about here but here's a link with some of my deck lists: http://sneferie.tumblr.com/tagged/deck-list

Editing … And yeah, my friends and I go to our LGS and play every Tuesday, sometimes we'll hang out at each other's houses on a different night to play too. I used to use Cockatrice before I moved since I didn't have any local friends who played, but the program's really neutered lately due to a bug that causes the database to not update with all of the cards, which means some cards are always missing and that can make deckbuilding almost impossible when you're playing EDH.

Editing … Sha and me only play casually: we don't have a lot of time and we don't know anybody who plays it. We have a lot of cards though (more than 10 000). Sha has an interesting White/Green deck, and has known MTG since a little boy. I only discovered MTG a few years ago so I'm not good at creating good decks but I really love to play it for fun! :) I've got a Green/Blue deck.

I wonder if this is supposed to be in this category.
