I've read 3 books about Jack the Ripper this week. I like this stuff, I might start looking into Jack the Ripper films and see if there are any with good ratings so I can continue my binge.

I read a book last night called the sheltering wolf. I read it in one go, it's 5am and I've not been to sleep, it's only a couple of quid on amazon I recommend it if you like jack the ripper.

So this guy invents a time machine and after getting rich, which is obviously the first thing you'd do, he gets bored. So after wondering who jack the ripper was he decides to find out. Jack sees him though and hides and follows him and shit happens, jack goes to 2023 and this guy gets stuck in 1888. Jack does his thing all over again whilst adapting to modern life and the other guy makes a life for himself using his knowledge from the future.

It's quite clever and the very last page and ending I definitely did not see coming.

Any of you guys into Jack the Ripper? I've seen everything, loads of documentaries and films. I think Jack the ripper was Francis Tumblety.

Editing … The ripper must have known or seen the Elephant man. The other way around probably not so much. The ripper would have probably wanted to keep a low profile.

Editing … Oh yes. The FBI profile on the ripper say's he 100% lived in whitechapel because he was so easily able to get around in the dark and he worked there monday to friday because all killings were on a weekend. Back in the 1980s, nevermind the 1880s, a community all knew each other, my council estate was full of friends and aunties and stuff. Jack probably drank with the elephant man. Shortly before he fled to America of course, because he was Francis Tumblety. There was apparently a ripper type murder in New York after he fled there so I'm as certain as I can be that it was him.

Editing … In a seen documentary was Francis Tumblety suspecious for sure, date of leaving and end of murdering a clue. Reading the wiki article makes me think why not with Mary Percey a female killer as victims had obvious signs of sexual interaction.
