...Gawd, that ending was really depressing. Satisfying, but good lord. Oh and cute aliens.

Well, I was really, really trying to keep this off of my all-time favorites list. If the future ever looks like this show, I might cry...And I'll look around for two adorably cute girls.

...Episode eight. I'm still waiting for more signs of life. So far, the girls have only met two grownups. And those adults look utterly depressed.

If there are actual signs of life in this show, I'll probably jump for joy. The future in this world looks so bleak.

Editing … Man, you guys are weird. In all honesty though, it's a pretty realistic look at what would happen if the world were decimated by nuclear weapons. We'd have two oblivious cute girls searching for life. Drinking beer because it looks like golden water or something.

For a dystopian anime, the two main characters are awfully cute. Aside from the adorable Yuuri and Chiito, the entire show is shrouded in mystery. We have no clue why the two girls are traversing an empty industrial world in a tank, but we do know that something terrible has reduced everything to rubble. The two styles of moe and post-apocalyptic horror probably should clash with each other, but Girls' Last Tour cleverly rummages through these ideas to show us a slim message of hope.

Editing … Dammit, Amazon screwed up the debut of this show by putting it on their failed Anime Strike subscription program. At least it's available to everyone on Amazon Prime.

It's okay to dab in a post-apocalyptic world. I think.

Wanna watch a slice-of-life show about cute moe girls in a grim, post-apocalyptic universe? Maybe?

I like this show, but these anime ideas are so...out of place. Why are these adorable kids struggling for survival? What caused the apocalypse? How come these kids can't tell me what happened?!? I suppose that's why I'm watching it on Amazon Prime, but...hunh?

The backgrounds look beautiful. It's just...Why is the opening so hyperactive? It's like sprinkling sugar on Metro 2033.
