This guy's got a few benchmarks, and emulation is pretty impressive, actually

it seems that the #SMACH Z, #PGS, and #GPD Win have incredibly similar performance in every shared benchmark. Haven't seen the others run emulations, though. This reviewer's very precise like that.

His voice might annoy you at first. It will lose that effect eventually.

The #Ultra-Mobile PC is back! Just one more month till the GPD Win is (supposedly) getting released. I've wanted one of these for like a decade now, having followed the disaster that was the #Pandora project, and hoping I could one day own a #Sony Vaio UX. However, these were all prohibitively expensive, and even though the Vaio UX still looks incredibly slick, it just doesn't have that much power by today's standards.

The GPD Win will go for only 330 dollars and can run games like GTA V, Skyrim and DmC Devil May Cry. Sure, you won't get 1080p/60 (in fact, the actual screen is 720p), but they're totally playable.

It was originally gonna be released with a weaker chip, advertising itself as being able to run any game up until 2008, but they upped that to 2013 thanks to competition of the PGS. The PGS does look a bit sexier (assuming they can actually hit their target renders, because their prototypes look nothing like it), but it won't release until next year (if at all), and doesn't have a qwerty keyboard, which is an essential component for me.

Anyway, they have a bunch of videos on their YouTube channel showing off various games:
    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt-jwZf54wt2UGCOW84iVKQ

These all run on a fanless Z8700 version, but the end-user product will have a Z8750 with fan, so expect a slight increase in performance.

And you can buy one here:

Since you're the only Favslist user who's added anything UMPC related, I'm just gonna go ahead and tag you, Husky Wing.@Husky Wing

Editing … I'd personally rather have a $100 MacBook. The idea of an ultra mobile and having that much juice seems like a bizarre combination to me. You'd probably want something compact, or something for gaming, but not both at once. But then again who am I to talk, as I'm told I have strange taste.

Editing … Rockshard, you're one of the few people who I always get notifications for. Mr. Zap is another, and I think Richard Pale is too. Some people I only get notifications for if they do a certain action, such as liking, but sometimes it's just for comments. I like when you're active because you're someone whose activity I'm actually notified of.

Editing … Funny, I actually added a page for a #GDP WIN Intel Z8550 a long time ago (after your GPD WIN page), but made the mistake of swapping the D and P, so the page fell into (further) obscurity. Figured I have no one to ask to delete that now, though.
