French is fairly easy to pick up, I can order beers, coffee, food, explain I'm English and only speak a little French. Understand directions somewhere left and right etc. I bet within a month of living in France I could get by easily.

Editing … I guess it has a lot in common with English. We get taught french in school but I cheated my way through it. I hated french. I think my school trips to Paris contributed to that hatred. Parisians are total cunts and there are so many tourist predators urging you to buy their stupid armbands. When I hear french I get ptsd.

Editing … Yeah, if I listen to a conversation between 2 frogs I can't make out a single word. But if they're talking directly to me I get more, and once they know I'm English they speak a bit slower then I'm getting the full gist of the conversation and they seem to understand me too. I won't be making small talk for a while, but I'll get my steak medium rare at the restaurant.

I've taught Isabella how to say "Hello, my name is Isabella". I've taught her how to say please and thankyou too. And now my French knowledge has ran out.

She's really getting excited to do Disney Paris, even more excited than for Christmas!

Oh hey, I found an old piece of schoolwork from when I was 14 :P We had to write our thoughts about our school with absolutely no help or notes whatsoever. It's a shame I can't tell how good/terrible it is, as I have forgotten all the French I ever learned :P Tbh, I'm not entirely sure what it says, haha. I'm kind of curious to see what my mindset was at that age. I wonder if I have changed any :P

On doit porter l’uniforme.

Editing … Sadly not :P I ended up dropping out of the course due to a bad bout of depression. I would have just finished up the course last year had I stayed. Tbh, by the time I actually made it to university, my passion for architecture had pretty much died. I was just doing it because I had no other ideas. At the end of the day, my real goals were to get a job that paid well enough and was universal enough to allow me to travel.

Editing … 1. Pour the milk in a salad bowl, let cool at room temperature. If the milk is in a cool place, you can heat it in a saucepan, but be careful not to exceed 25°C. In this case, control the temperature with a thermometer. But the easiest way is to let cool the milk for one or two hours at room temperature. 2. Take off the equivalent of half a glass of the milk and pour a sachet of lactic ferments and mix until the powder is dissolved. 3. Add to the rest of the milk, the half glass containing the lactic ferments. Leave it to stand for an hour and a half (still at room temperature) and cover the salad bowl with a clean cloth. This step aims to allow lactic ferments to grow while preparing the milk clotting and give eventually a firm curd palatable. 4. After this aging step, add the liquid rennet sachet and mix well with the milk. Cover it with the clean cloth and let stand until the setting. For a very firm cheese, and depending of, among other things, the quality and temperature of the milk, let it curd overnight, still at room temperature: the curd then has a gelatinous consistency firm enough. 5. With a knife, cut the curd: first cut in the length, shaping strips by about 3 cm. Then, in the width, still shaping strips by about 3 cm. We obtain cubes of about 3cm by 3cm. 6. Place the cheese mold in a dish, then using a ladle, carefully fill the mold with the curd to the brim. 7. Drain regularly and gently pressing the curd on top of the mold with a ladle or spoon. Then replace the curd to the brim as long as some remains in the bowl. Do not press too hard on the curd to not get it out through the holes in cheese molds. This can take two hours or more if the curd is very firm.
