In a year where two biblical epics made it to the big screen, the one you'd think would be good, the one coming from a director who has worked in the genre before, is actually the worse of the two.
Pros: The visuals, and overall production value , is really good. But coming from Ridley Scott that isn't much of a surprise at all, dude did make "Blade Runner" which is considered by many a visual landmark for the medium.
Cons: Pretty much everything. The main characters are poorly handled with little to no definable characteristics to them at all. Misuse of its rather big cast where actors like Sigournery Weaver & Ben Kingsley are regulated to about 20-30min of screentime (total) between them. Has a runtime of 2hr 30min and still suffers from pacing problems, becoming obviously clear that 2hr 30min isn't enough time for Scott to fit everything he wants in. Too many things feel like they've been left on the cutting room floor, again saying that there just wasn't enough time.

Editing … Rating: 5/10. A visual impressive film but also a very shallow one. (cause character limit this has to be here).
