I still can't hardly play a full song with my bad arm, the pain still builds and builds until I have to stop.

But I have gotten good enough while I do play to realise that my amp is rubbish. I'm at a level now that I need a better one because it's stopping me being at my best. I guess progress is good no matter how slow :)

You guys remember me saying I was learning the 12 bar blues? Well I did the basic stuff up and down 3 strings strumming just 2 at a time and I got good enough to improvise a little which leads me directly to the next lesson which is called the blues shuffle. It's basically the exact same thing just intermediate beginner instead of total beginner.

Listen to this bit at the beginning before he starts teaching, it sounds fucking amazing when you get good at it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFuXLSIYH7s&ab_channel=MartyMusic

And the best thing about it is that it's just so damn easy to play! This is what I wanted to play when I first picked up a guitar but didn't know where to start so I just played the Oasis songs that are even simple for a beginner.

I bet I got this totally nailed by the end of next month. I'm just trying to get the right strumming pattern atm, I'm not a natural when it comes to music I have to learn everything the hard way.

It's coming back man, it's coming back! The more I play the better I get. I literally played this song in 30 seconds, I found that first chord on the 10th fret then dropped down and that was that, less than a minute before I'm rocking it. I mean, my playing is super sloppy but everything I knew years ago is coming back quickly :D A few more years practice and I'll be bang average!

I had an accident on my way to buy a bass guitar. I slipped and fell and the money fell out of my pocket into an electric guitar owners hand.

Guess I'd better try playing this instead :D

Editing … funny I have lots of accidents like that. I might have some in the future too. I'm trying to prevent them but I'm not sure if I want to.

Editing … Keep on having happy little accidents. I found electric a bit easier to play and that blues riff I was learning sounds awesome with an amp there distorting shit. I'm like a rock god! One that can't play very well but soon might do. I still want bass though, maybe next payday on Thursday.

I follow some blues and rock n roll guitar pages on instagram and one of them shared a video by this old dude. He's about 127 years old and it makes me smile just to see him playing. Check him out he's good: https://www.instagram.com/p/CdKT8Y1lLQa/

I was pretty amazed to find out these have been around since 1931 o_o
I was expecting it to be something like 1955~1960, since it was around 1965 that it became popular, I think.
