Had a tough time with a physics test. The thing is--I feel like I could actually apply for more jobs. I don't have my computer science degree, but I've taken enough courses to quite a bit.

It's one thing to say that I'm applying, but man, it's tough to find a reliable site to start a job search. I mean, I spent all that time getting a bachelor's degree in journalism. And half of the job sites say that I need a math/science degree by default. That tells me absolutely nothing about what they really expect from me.

I'm finally completely over depression. It's gone, totally. It took 14 years and I think having Isabella was the final piece that I needed.

I once thought that I was pretty much ok but that depression never fully leaves you, I thought once you had it it was always there ready to pounce when something went wrong. I was wrong, you can get out of it.

All of you. We've either been there ourselves or know someone that has. Our own Dr eggnog took his own life almost a year ago and I was reminded of that today by Facebook memories. The thing is, he never told anyone he was so down. We couldn't help him.

If you ever get to that point talk to someone please. I know from personal experience that you think nobody cares but they really do. If you don't want to talk to people you know pm me and it will be between us nobody else. Or reply here if you're OK with Internet forums etc. This community is fantastic we won't judge and we understand. Just talk to somebody, anybody.

Depression is the hardest thing I ever did, and it'll be the hardest thing you ever do too. Don't let it beat you. Please talk about it before it's too late, we got your back and we'll do it together.

Editing … I did wonder what happened to Dr Eggnog, since he seemed to be a major part of the site. That seriously sucks to hear. I remember scrolling through his lists and thinking hell yeah, supreme taste in videogames. I'd have liked to get to know him.

Editing … You know, I think that I've finally beat depression fully. All these years I'd still struggle when something shit happened, I'd start going down. But just lately I'm great. I failed my Hazard perception test and then my driving test and just a short while ago I'd have taken that badly. I just shrugged it off and went again. About fourteen years it's taken.

Today the world lost another person to this, a great guy, always made people laugh and he had this kind of humor that nobody else had, you'd either hated him or loved him. I knew him for 5 years and out of nowhere he was gone.
He's probably not the only person we lost to depression today, and I know we will lose more tomorrow, about as many as we lost yesterday, but that is why I bring to you the daily reminder that if you do have depression please, PLEASE, PLEASE look for help and don't leave us.

Editing … Really sad to read that, it tricky to reach some persons with a depression as they deny contact. I know what i am talking (writing right now) since i have it since a year too. The group of these which i was in treatment with in last summer is slowly falling apart due this behavior of breaking up contact without no real reason (two left already). So if someone breaks up contact out of nothere, do not think ok, just think what is going on!

Editing … Sudertum I know how that is. That tendency to introvert has to be fought, as it only leads to internalize ideas, and negative thoughts, generating a negative frame of mind, that only gets bleaker, the more the person sinks into humself/herself.
