So that's it? Nintendo's just going to leave things like this? :(

Editing … I didn't think it was possible but they actually made a console with a worse library than the Gamecube.

Editing … I mean the U isn't even going to have its own proper Zelda game now.

Editing … I said all this way back in the Unikgamer days, but the fanboys said I was wrong and it was going to be awesome.

Editing … I'm surprised it isn't at least going to get its own exclusive Zelda but yeah, it always seemed predictable that the Wii U wasn't going to be a big success. Not betting powerful enough to share multiplatform games with PS4/XB1 and a weak tablet controller gimmick looked like a bad combination as soon as they announced it.

Editing … I'm still getting one :P I never played Wii, so I have that whole library to draw from as well. As long as they keep the digital store running, I should be happy with it. I got the N64 and Gamecube after they were dead in the water. I may as well keep the tradition alive :P

Editing … I always buy Nintendo systems late in their life cycles, and then pick up the games of interest in one fell swoop. Competing systems simply dominate my time and interest while Nintendo libraries slowly get to a late point where I finally see a benefit to owning one. The Switch is actually the soonest I've ever bought a Nintendo system, but if I didn't have daughters to influence that decision, the Switch wouldn't have been any different.

Editing … I find that when I finally do get around to playing Nintendo games, I do (mostly) have fun playing them. It's just that I rarely feel an urgency to play them. Although there are a handful of Nintendo IP that I do like, Zelda is the closest that comes to that "I'd rather play it sooner than later" feeling. My desire to play Nintendo games always seems to come in small and specific doses. It's almost like I have to be in the perfect mood for them.
