Underrated! Well, not in South Korea, where it was a massive success, but across the board... this film is underrated. Very sentimental at times, very OTT, but I learned a lot about the Korean war from this movie and more than that, it gave me an appreciation of just how completely traumatised the peninsula must be from this conflict - it doesn't really matter which side of the border you're looking at, it's obvious that both Koreas still haven't recovered from this particular chapter in history, half a century on.
