I was only a fan because of Detlef Schrempf (the most successful German player until Dirk Nowitzki came along), but still, my heart was a little broken when they lost to Bulls in the 1996 NBA finals. You hear that Chicago?! Break my heart, you did.

Editing … With Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton, they had an awesome team! The NBA was so much better in the 90s.

Editing … It was! But Chicago Bulls were simply unbeatable in 96 with Jordan, Pippen and Rodman. But you're right, the 90s were something of a golden era for the NBA, even moreso than the 80s with that incredible Lakers-Celtics/Bird-Johnson rivalry.

Editing … I liked Detlef Schrempf, i remember watching that finals. I wish the team was still in Seattle. And Your right Desh, the 90's was the golden era of the NBA. It just sucks most of it was dominated by the bulls. except for one team behehehe. I hate it when people say the only reason the Rockets won was because MJ was playing baseball. Hakeem was at the high of his prime no one could stop him. And the bulls had Bill Cartwright, yeah Hakeem would have wasted them.
