I love Eminem, he got me into music when I was 11 years old, but in recent years he hasn't been that good at all. "Relapse" and "Recovery" were some of the most dissapointing albums i've ever heard, left me a worrying impression on what Eminem could turn into. The announcement of "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" didn't help at all, the first one was a great album so there was alot to live up to...it did, and "Rap God" is the shining proof!

Although the title may seem pretentious, the song itself is like a slap in the face. Brilliant singing, lyrical masterclass, social commentary all over the place and, most importantly, brought back some of the greatness Eminem had back then. He sounds truly legit in this song, the way he sings and his play on words made him as emotional and true as he was in the early 2000's. THIS is the song he long needed!

A flawed masterpiece - it's no "Lose Yourself", but Eminem showed he still rules the genre!
