Ten is one of the first albums that I've ever listened to. I used to steal this from my brother's room all the time, because each song had this epic arena tone that fills the whole room with sound. Singer Eddie Vedder knew how to rile people up, with babbled lyrics about everything from a "bomb in my head that's about to explode" and a beggar who's "lookin' through the paper thought he doesn't know how to read." In retrospect, there's so many ideas that wouldn't work with any other band except for Pearl Jam. All the members just funneled their most explosive performances into one album and it took the world by storm.
