Men In Black caught Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith at the height of their popularity to star in a stylish extraterrestrial police thriller. I gotta say, this movie makes really good use the of the Guggenheim and other noteworthy New York locales for chase sequences. The biggest surprise is actually Tony Shalhoub, the multi-talented utility actor who can play every single role imaginable. MIB was Shalhoub's breakout role as Jeebs, the unassuming pawn shop owner/alien weapons specialist. It's an unusual part that emphasizes all of Shalhoub's strengths, long before he starred in the TV series Monk.
