This is how you make a movie tie in, you take something cool about the premise of the film, loosely follow the narrative, but make your focus on skewing the film into an interesting game idea. The interesting thing about Spiderman is not punching dudes in the face, every video game in the world is about punching dudes in the face. But how many games are about using an unlimited amount of ropes to swing around New York City at high speeds doing hero stuff?

The web swinging in this game is awesome and it is so fun to just swing around doing races that it overshadows the poor channeling of the films plot, clunky fight controls that aren't all that fun, and Toby Maguire showing that if he tries hard enough he can indeed be a worse actor. 5/5

Underrated Halo game. And i'm guilty of giving too much credit to music in games, but the music in his game and it's implementation is by far the best of the series and that may just be my opinion because I love the sound of an electric guitar making sweet sweet love to orchestral overtures.

But that aside, it's another really well designed Halo game, not the best of the series, but it was indeed a step up from Halo CE. 4/5

And the sequel hook gets too much flack, Bungie wanted to give it a proper ending, but Microsoft felt the need to buy a new solid gold Humvee for it's solid gold garage. So don't blame the otherwise excellent game for unrealistic launch dates.

Nowhere near as good as the first one. The entirety of the game doesn't seem to have as much drive. The main enemy seems to keep changing throughout the whole thing. And every reference to the first game just seems to remind you of how much better the first one really was. That being said there are some REALLY good parts in this game, the entire plot idea of redemption is awesome, and the gameplay and rpg elements went through some minor tweaks that improved the gameplay as a whole. And at the end of the day it is still a pretty good game, but the lack of any feeling of addition or expansion and a hook for a sequel that never came sour my own opinion of it. 3/5

Yeah, other GTAs have probably surpassed this one by now, and looking back there are a lot of flaws in this one, but think about this: San Andreas had a jetpack.

Beautifully written. Every word that leaks from every characters mouth can attest to that. But the best thing about this game is that it shows how to make a movie genre into a game, it's story is the perfect analogy for the dying western genre as the east starts to overtake the west. This game is built so well and it's ending is the best part about it. It shows how you leave a character that you've come to love and how to wrap up a story. Play through this game until the title flashes on the screen on a red background of your character, and you'll see what I mean. Rockstar is the Da Vinci of Video Games.

It was hard to pick whether to put this or Combat Evolved on the list, but I just had to go with my personal favorite. I love this game and this entire series just for the nonstop fun of trying to beat it on Legendary. I hear the multiplayer is fun but although I love this game more than pigs love shit, I never actually played it. Still it gets a ten out of ten and shares it with it's grand father for completely revolutionizing the shooter genre, sure is a shame it's a Microsoft exclusive though. I guess we'll reunite again when the Xbox 4: A New Hope comes out. Farewell my love.

The story in this game is probably the weakest of the series, but nevertheless, this game is so outstandingly well made that you can have the best time in the world walking around in the woods for thirty minutes. This game is the textbook for how to make both a good RPG and how to make a good Sandbox game. Plus it gets bonus points just for showing publishers that a game doesn't have to involve shooting terrorists in a brown/gray environment to make a huge profit. Great Job Todd Howard and crew!

Great story and Mind-Numbingly Visceral gameplay and gore make this game the best hack and slash of all time. With revolutionary controls and a fantasized version of Ancient Greece this game will be on my replay list for the rest of time.
Although the sequels had better gameplay, this one stands out as the best because of it's story aspect, and the fact that it was the only one that truly had respect for itself making a walking pectoral muscle named Kratos into a sympathetic character. This game is truly a testament to David Jaffe's true skills in game design although i was never really a fan of his other titles, this game alone is enough to get him into the video game version of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Ken Levine really knows how to build a game world. This game is excellent, and it is so fun to play that just the gameplay could make it a 10. It's so well written and the world is so well designed that just that could make it a 10. Just Elizabeth could make it a 10, just the AI could make it a 10, just the beauty of the organic world could make it a ten, Even the music of this game is enough to make it a 10 out of 10. This game is such a work of art that in fifty years when games are finally thought of widely as art, this will be one of the templates which future artists will make their games off of. The only thing that keeps this game out of the #1 spot is pure unadulterated nostalgia. But fuck it this game is a goddamn chocolate enema!

You take an influential and downright awesome IP, add an excellent Development team, and a dash of excellent writing and viola, you get one of the greatest games of all time. This game was the entire reason I bought an original XBox, and as soon as I was old enough to appreciate this game (by appreciate i mean get past Taris) I was completely hooked. It is masterfully written with a story that makes you feel like a true hero on his quest to fight a foe that is completely evil.

KOTOR has Been called the greatest Star Wars game ever, and in my opinion it is also the Greatest game ever, the time i spent in this magical world will never be forgotten, if it hadn't been for this work of art, my life would have been much different.
