Anamanaguchi is a fantastic chiptune band that I found out about from the Scott Pilgrim OST for the game. If you grew up in the NES days like I did, you'll love them. They have just the right combination of bleeps, boops, and actual drum and bass to make everything blend perfectly. Check out their song Prom Night, which is my new all time favorite song (Sorry, Thriller).

The Office is just great. It draws you in with the dry humor and the love story, and you stick around for the characters to see how they end up. The U.S. version took Ricky Gervais' signature style and expanded on it, which leads to interesting character developments and changes the way you laugh at the jokes. The last couple seasons aren't the best, but by far it has the best finale I've ever seen on a TV show. The Office tugs at your heart strings and makes you realize that you've spent a decade growing with these people, and almost breaks the 4th wall as how genuine the acting is (I wonder if it's the characters in the last 10 minutes talking or the actual actors).

Scott Pilgrim is an absolute love letter to my generation of gamers. Everything about the movie resonates with me, and the tight collaboration between Bryan Lee O'Malley and Edgar Wright makes every bit of the humor translated perfectly from the comic. The characters are HYSTERICAL and are some of the most interestingly unique characters I've come across. The actors, especially Michael Cera and Chris Evans, do their roles phenomenally and are really convincing which immerses you even deeper into the universe. I now want to move to Toronto.

Xenoblade Chronicles was a dark horse that I took a chance on and was absolutely blown away by it. The characters are unique and interesting, the plot is absolutely insane, the depth of the content is staggering, the music is top notch, and above all else, the combat is the most addicting I've ever come across. Possibly the most underrated game ever created.

Final Fantasy VII was the first game I ever played that had an adult storyline and themes. I was in love with how cool the characters were, and being exposed to the style for the first time. Needless to say, Aeris' death was absolutely epic and was the first and maybe only time I've cried from a video game.
