Just to be clear here, steam has 6,570 games for sale under $10 and 4,899 under $5. If youre looking for a few new games to play, or you're on a budget, now is the time. If you miss out, though, I'm sure there will be a glorious winter sale as usual.

Yesterday I thought of you when I splurged and bought like 15 games from steam all at once. I did so in your honor.

Editing … I am almost certain I will enjoy some of them. If not, no big deal, they were all less than ten dollars, and some were under 5. Which was the only reason i bought them in the first place.

Editing … I bought 14 games from steam and my total came to 80 dollars. Quite pleased with my purchase, and whats even better is that these games are going to last me months to get through.

Editing … Gotta start somewhere, I guess, but I do need to add SNES Yoshi's Island to this list. Anyways, a) i've been playing a lot of modern games, and to that effect i've been largely unimpressed with the soundtracks included, and b) games like mega man and yoshi's island set the bar quite high.

Editing … It's certainly difficult because so rarely one stands out in the crowd. Another thing i forgot to mention, it's hard to keep track of the multitude of lists this site has to offer - I completely forgot about this list until you brought it to my attention!

Don't know why, but I love me some curling. I suppose it's partly because figure skating gets old real quick, it seems to be the majority of what they show on the television, but also it's something you don't see every day.

GameStop used to be a place where I could dump a bunch of games I no longer wanted to play and use what they gave me to buy one or two new games that I was interested in. Recently I took twenty games to trade and they offered me 14 dollars total. I'd rather give my games away (or find creative ways to destroy them) than accept such a low amount for trade. I understand that GameStop is a business and they need to buy games lower than they would sell them for, but it's gotten to the point that it's no longer worth the effort on my part. When I can no longer sell a video game for even a dollar a piece, it's time to look for other avenues to sell. As far as purchasing games go, the only way GameStop offers discounted prices is through used games (as opposed to, say, WalMart or Best Buy which only sell new games), but even then their prices are hardly competitive with online ventures such as eBay.
