As a long time fan of fighting games I, for the most part, enjoyed numerous game from both the Street Fighter & Tekken series (for the longest time the Mortal Kombat series has been my favorite fighting game series) and was excited by the announcement of Street Fighter X Tekken and Tekken X Street Fighter.

Confession time: I've never played Final Fantasy VII, I've seen others play it and discussed it, but never had the urge to pick it up and play it myself. The main reason being I don't like games with turn-based combat as they are slow and bore me to tears. With that being the case why would I be anticipating the Final Fantasy VII remake? Well it's simple, they've said after revealing the game that it won't be a straight remake of the game which (hopefully) means they will ditch the turn based combat for a more action oriented system like the one I saw in the FF XV demo (which looked awesome) and will be slightly altering the story so it will be more accessible to "newcomers" like myself.

I'm a big fan of the Tomb Raider series (the first video game I bought for the first Playstation was Tomb Raider II and I've played pretty much every Tomb Raider game since) and since I really enjoyed the 2013 I can't wait to finally play the sequel.

Outside of Batman Arkham Origins I for the most part really enjoyed playing the Arkham games and this game looks like it will be just as good.

When it comes to 3D Zelda games I tend to have a hate/love relationship in that I initially hate them (hated playing the original version of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword, Wind Waker was okay and I haven't played Majora's Mask or Hyrule Warriors, but I hope to change that soon) when I first try playing them but then decide to revisit them a few years (or in the case of Ocarina of Time nearly a decade) later and end up enjoying them for the most part. Now based on what I've seen of The Legend of Zelda Wii U it looks like it might change that trend for me, which is what got me excited to play it.

When it comes to creation games like Super Mario Maker & Little Big Planet I suck at creating things, but I love being able to play other player's creations. I also love to play challenging 2D platformers which is why I am excited aboiut Super Mario Maker. I can't wait to see and try out the number of Kaizo Mario inspired levels that other players create.

With this game I am both excited and saddened, I'm excited because it's a new entry in Metal Gear Solid series (I loved playing most of the MGS games) that looks to tie the Naked Snake and Solid Snake storylines together. I'm saddened because it will be series creator Hideo Kojima's last Metal Gear title and it will (more than likely) be the last Konami game that I will buy new.

I'm most excited for Bloodstained mainly because I am a fan of Igarashi's previous work on the Castlevania series (especially Symphony of the Night, the DS trilogy, and Lament of Innocence) and this title looks to follow in those game's footsteps.
