The more I read about how Nintendo is handling their same-sex romance options in this game, the less I want to buy it, honestly. It really sucks because I was looking forward to this a great deal, but what they're doing is so hurtful and insulting and I think it's just now finally sinking in for me, and idk if I can look past it. It's bad enough you essentially force players to pick between Gay Guy Version and Lesbian Version if they want same-sex romance, but when your one option for each gender is an awful, reprehensible character that no one or few people would really find appealing, while FE:Awakening had 210 possible different-sex romance pairings, it's just a joke and a reminder that those of us who aren't straight aren't "normal" or as important to them.

Editing … So far, it doesn't matter to me. It's a great game, and I think it is better than Awakening (but I'm bad in japanese and I don't understand the dialogues...). It's a first step, and this kind of steps is quite rare in video games. I don't give a damn about this opinions war, for my part, I appreciate even the smallest progress. :)

Editing … I honestly would rather they omitted the meager and offensive same-sex romance options if this is the alternative. And then there's this fucking grossness which is its own can of worms: http://andrea-ritsu.tumblr.com/post/122996133365/

Editing … Preemptive disclaimer for anyone reading this: if you want to argue or "debate" with me on this and tell me why it's no big deal, don't comment on this post. Because I'm really fucking upset about all of this and my patience is at about -30 right now.

Editing … I completely understand where your coming from with this. While the game itself might be good in terms of gameplay and so forth, the fact that " you can’t romance her as the female" is sickening. There are no real reasons as to why this is the case, and it's taking away from not just a character in a fictional world, but from people who identify as the same, and want freedom of choice. This whole fiasco is warranted, because that makes no logical sense whatsoever.
