At the time there was just nothing like it, it lit people's imaginations in a time where cinema was riddled with realistic and depressive movies. And I get that, but to me the film is really nothing special. Everything is so basic, nothing about this story and it's characters was interesting.

The podrace is good, the final battle is good, Anakin is awful (he was even more in Ep2) Jar Jar is just so bad no word can describe it and Darth Maul is a wasted potential. I could go on and on about all the movies since I've seen them all too many times to know how many but man... if I didn't know better I would think you're joking. Oh and Ep3 is not bad, witch is a miracle if you look at his two predecessors, but certainly not better than any movie of the first trilogy.
