Trippy. That's the word that would best describe the surface of Hotline Miami, but scratch a bit below the surface and soon you'll find there's far more here than meets the eye (and ears).
Pros: Every aspect of the game blends together wonderfully, surreal story that is told superbly with just the right mix of cutscenes, in-game and environmental storytelling, excellent writing, great visuals and music set the tone of the game perfectly, superb level design, generally great gameplay with enough variation
Cons: No slight aim assist makes it nigh impossible to survive (a gunfight) when things go pear-shaped, can't remap the controls of the front touch screen to the rear touch pad on the Vita
