The story of Naked Snake before he became the "Greatest Solider of the 20th Century" is one of the most enjoyable, complex and saddest character arcs a game on any system, not just the PS2, has to offer. Watching him grow into the man that will be known as Big Boss as you sneak through the jungles of Russia will give you an experience you can't and won't find anywhere else.

From boss battles that have you swimming under water to avoid bullet bees, to fighting a man hiding in the trees with Predator-like-stealth, to a 100 year old sniper in a battle that spans 3 vast forest areas that could possibly take hours to surpass you won't find an ounce of repetitiveness in this game.

Add in the new stealth gameplay in that of the camo index that sees you switching uniforms to better suit your surroundings, hunting for food and bandages to keep your stamina high, and the ability to hold guards hostage to gather information, MGS3 brings a breath of fresh air to the Metal Gear Solid series.
