It's fun, easy and accessible. The very definition of a platform game is "Super Mario Bros.". With many items, different enemies and diverse levels "Super Mario Bros." is always fun. No more, no less. The graphics and "engine" may be outdated by now but it is still fun nowadays. Nintendo made sure to translate the Super Mario Bros. experience into modern times by releasing the "New Super Mario Bros." series but in my opinion no new Super Mario Bros. game can outmatch this milestone. The soundtrack is great and memorable.
