"Super Mario Kart" marked the start of the very successful Mario Kart series and is even nowadays one of the greatest fun-racer of all time! The graphics are outstanding for its time as the Mode-7-engine provides an entirely new view. The best part of this game is the music, as a child I often just played this game to listen to this outstanding soundtrack. The controls may be a bit difficult and/or outdated nowadays so I can't recommend this game for beginners but once the player gets used to it the races are really fun! There are many different tracks and difficulty settings (50/100/150ccm) and there is also a two-player-mode (of course). All in all I can say that "Super Mario Kart" is an awesome racing game!
