Gosh, this list sure changed a lot after all these mainstreamers came in. Why is Kingdom Hearts III all the way down to #12 and not #6? Oh well, at least it's still higher than Persona 5. Suck it, @Firion Hope.

Editing … Don't hate, just rate! Cyberpunk isn't exactly mainstream, BTW;) Besides, it makes the list more interesting when we have more contributors! Thanks for participating.

Editing … Cyberpunk 2077 not mainstream? Eh, I dunno about that. CD Projekt has made quite a name for themselves with the Witcher franchise, and the cyberpunk genre itself has become become bigger than ever within the video game industry. Though I agree this isn't a truly mainstream list (where's Call of Duty?), and the results can differ greatly depending on what site the list's being advertised on. For example, here's a poll GameFAQs did back in January on people's most anticipated sequel: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/5386 KH3 on #2? Now there's a list I can get behind.

Editing … How is CDPR mainstream? Witcher 1 was a very niche title & Witcher 2 garnered a little more attention, probably because of the PC Graphics & subsequently the 360 release, but I would still hardly call it 'Mainstream'. Witcher 3 is obviously trying to reach an even larger audience but the company is still certainly not Mainstream like Naughty Dog, BioWare, Blizzard, Rockstar etc are. Then looking at Cyberpunk, it's an extremely underused Genre, even in Video Games. In the last 5 years there's been what, maybe 2 reasonably sized Cyberpunk titles: Human Revolution & E.Y.E .. That's hardly what I would consider a big & growing genre in gaming. The precise reason why SO many people are excited for Cyberpunk is because there's a lack of Cyberpunk games & pretty much every fan of CDPR are keen for it.

Editing … CDPR announced last October that the entire Witcher series had sold 6 million units. When you combine Mass Effect 1's 360 sales with Mass Effect 2's PC and 360 sales, they're very close. Yes, maybe Mass Effect has more "visibility," but it was never the big seller that people seem to think it is. I would put Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Dark Souls and The Witcher in a similar tier of mainstream, with games like GTA5, Skyrim and Diablo III being in an entirely different league. As for those cyberpunk games, there's Deus Ex 3, Syndicate, Watch Dogs, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, Remember Me, Shadowrun Returns, E.Y.E, Tesla Effect, Hard Reset, Frozen Synapse, Shin Megami Tensei IV, and at least a dozen more smaller indie games that I don't remember the names of. Like I said, the cyberpunk genre is bigger than ever. That's not to say that it's *big*, however, but it's on the rise, and I hope it's here to stay.
